I noticed in the photo you had of the engine (5/26/06, #18 post) thread, "why are the GS owners with RMM....." with the red powder coated valve covers that you used a COP ignition. What was it?
It looks great.
 
Those are some honking big COP's aren't they? Definitely not the OEM setup there, but they look really good, IMO.
 
Surprise guys that is the OEM ignition system. That is a 1uz with VVTI, thats how it comes. (ignition that is)
 
I thought the 1UZ VVTi and 2UZ shared coils, but the 2UZ's are tiny in comparison to those. Do you happen to have the P/N for those COP's and/or know if they've got 2 or 4 terminals?
 
One question self answered - they're 4 wire coils with builtin ignitors.

#1: Switched +12
#2: Low side trigger from ECU
#3: IGF signal back to ECU (one common signal from coils 1467 and another from coils 8352)
#4: Earth

Still would be interesting to know the P/N's if anyone has a Lexus dealer connection.
 
what size turbo do you run and when do you see positive boost? Do you guys really think the gs400 sits higher than the sc400 when lowered?
