Gang: I was at XtremeBoost yesterday afternoon...They had the car running well, but the BOV continued to open during idle...This is not good, so we finally decided to go with a different BOV...HKS instead...YOu should see the air filters...Unbelieveable. I will post pics...Car sounds incredibly mean when acclerated, idle is virtually silent....:thumbup: :woohoo:

Here is a pic of the billet fuel door going on the car when it gets painted...This one is curved, so it will fit the countour of the car...

OK. We figured out the problem with the Tial...The spring is not the correct one...We are ordering and hopefully picking up the heaviest duty spring we need tomorrow...What we did was to swap another Tial from an EVO, and everything worked properly...Car is running perfectly...The car is driving as well, but only in the parking lot.
What is left to do? The WIdeBand, boost gauge, oil gauge, turbo timer and water injection are being installed tomorrow. As well as the brackets for the exhausts. Car will be done tomorrow or Saturday. I wil flim it driving...

The Methanol injection is installed...So is the Profec B Boost Controller and the HKS Turbo Timer...I will have pics up shortly of the Meth injection...

I went to pick up my car tonight...Everything is done except the Methanol...I thought they had it done, but a few more things to do to complete it. We decided I should take the car, test drive it, if all went well then take it home, and then tomorrow morning, drop it off at Ultimate Audio for the custom plate for the gauges, head unit, and EDFC...Car started up perfectly, Scott was there to witness it...Carf ran great...We boosted it at 6 pounds, peaked at 8 pounds...Wow!! What a difference...The power is definitely improved greatly, very linear, but very much quicker, and the ECU has not even had time to really learn it yet...Plus the gas is almost 2 years old...Still, no ping, no sign of detonation. Car was great!!!
One problem...the rack and pinion was making a hell of a lot of noise...Just replaced it with a reman from Lexus...May be bad, and mayh need to swap it out with another...Getting the car tomorrow.

I am sad that I missed LexFest...:cry: I got my car at 11:30 tonight...:D It is running well now, no issues with the AFR, except that I can only tune so much without the piggyback. So, I will boost lightly...But wow, even at very low boost, it is definitely much quicker...:woohoo: The built engine goes in during October..., so does the paint, BBK's, etc....
I received the front brakes in the mail...very nice. I will attach some pics. I also received the emblems, stunning....Billet fuel door is in also. It is coming together....

Yes, it was the fuse...It had a 20 amp instead of a 30 amp...Fans require a 30 amp. The fuse blew, and the fan stopped working, and the car overheated in heavy traffic due to that...

BTW, car is runnig n much better and stronger...But, still needs tuning...not pushing to hard until tuned well. That does not happen on my car until the built-engine swap.

Last night I was driving down 436 in Orlando to get to Titan Motorsports to meet up with Davew and Cowboy...An older Porsche Turbo with a wide body and pop up headlights drove up next to me and heard my turbo...He decided to race me...I really did not want to only because my car is not tuned, and I cannot hold boost for too long as my car will run a bit lean...So, I decided to let him know I had some power...I just kicked it a little while he was trying to pull away, and I caught right up to him...easily. Each time he downshifted and took off I just kept up with him to let him know he could not pull away...He finally realized he could not beat me, and turned off on Forsythe from University Blvd...:D
