The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
hey what do you normally get charged for a pair of 1uz flanges and do you supply the file, and....

is it a nice shape and not profile cut from a gasket??

cheers,
Daniel.

after a few days of getting out of bed at 10am cos im on holiday.....

progress report

left side headers mostly done
right side done as much as i can with engine in the car...

IMG_0457.jpg

using tape to mock up bends....

IMG_0459.jpg

left side header mostly done.....

IMG_0464.jpg

hope to have allot more done in the next few days, so i can start on the collectors, which are going to be a fiddle.

weight is an issue but they are not to bad so far.
a good rigorous sandblasting may lighten them slightly.

so far so good.........

Daniel.

PS pump is not a priority,
at the worst i will use an MR2 electric PS pump.

Yes, i am not concerned about these header's failing due to heat.

Got the headers all in place, pipes welded to the flange and to each other.

will refit the engine to the car before i set the turbo flanges in place with a collecter, just to be sure they are in the right place....

no more progress for a while, will be continuing my holiday as an actual holiday.

Cheers,
Daniel.

Update:

Engine is back in the car after i had the pants off the engine to plumb the turbo oil return lines:

IMG_0541.jpg

I had the LHS side return foul the oil pump pickup, but after a small amount of machining its now has clearance:

IMG_0546.jpg

I chose army navy fittings for ease of installation and cos the have a nice internal radius, function within form! i like it.

i went with -12 which is 3/4 ID hose im sure i could have used smaller hose but the angle of the return line is far from verticle so i figure the large hose size will hopefully compensate for this.

T56 gearbox mount fabrication next:

Crank trigger tooth removal for use with Megasquirt and a 12:1 missing tooth setup:

IMG_0562.jpg

Have pechased a bosch 044 pump and some mitsi VR4 injectors (450cc)

the mitsi injectors are a perfect fit in the 1UZ fuel rails and manifold. but are a bosch style plug and are low impedance.

Next is to finish the manifolds and integrate the wastegates into them.
then i will make the down pipes and attempt to clear the power steer and the oil return.

wish me luck

Daniel.

Where has the time gone?

to be honest i was busy preparing my hilux for an annual 4x4 trip.

some progress has been made, mostly the wiring and ignition, manifold have not been finished due to the radiator taking so long to turn up as ididnt want to position turbos without the radiator having appropriate clearance.

OEM dissy have been binned in favor of wasted spark in the form of subaru coils and ignitors. the coils of which are mounted on the front and rear of the inlet manifold.

IMG_0582.jpg

IMG_0586.jpg

massively oversized radiator.

IMG_0609.jpg

doesnt fit so well dispite being made for the car by some one who possibly has never seen one before.

intercooler mounted nearly

wiring in progress...

IMG_0613.jpg

wiring all but finished

IMG_0733.jpg

have had a flywheel for my tilton clutch built to my spec so that i do not need to thin my adapter plate or bellhousing to get the last clutch plate sitting on the spline properly

which is a massive pain in the arse avoided.

am off to thrash the pants off my citroen now,

hopefully in another 3 months the supra will be at least running.

wish me luck.....

Daniel.

Great job !!!

Good luck, what is the injectors you use ?

Give us more information about the wiring with that MS1

UPDATE:

progress on manifold has been made.
my work even paid me to work on them for a few hours, very nice of them, even if they were unaware of it.

IMG_0746.jpg

I made makeshift brackets to hold the turbo flanges in place while i fabricated the collector.

IMG_0755.jpg
IMG_0754.jpg

left side collector and westgate mount finished.

IMG_0757.jpg

right side collector finished, wastegate needs to be mounted still.

IMG_0759.jpg
IMG_0760.jpg

custom made clutch flywheel to suit the spacing needs of my adapter plate.

more progress soon.
i need to get the exhaust finished to behind the engine so that i can remove the engine and fab an alt and PS mount. i may be able to use the original alt, depends on how bad the angle of entry is for the turbo oil return....

time for some sleep.

More header progress.....

LHS all but complete:
