Aha the WRX is still competing..
The Gt4 was 1440 Kg..
The GT4 had turbo issues and a particular driver rolled his constantly..
Even twice on same rally .. Thanks to Carlos...
The Evo's where about the same weight..
Yes the Iron block and transmission was quite heavy on Gt4's..

Your maths is a bit average XR ;0) Add 1/2 tank of fuel to 1440kg and you get 1460kg which is exactly what my var weighed stock. Remove 80KG and you get what the GT8 weighs...add 90KG for me and you get 1470kg..amazing ;0)

The block is pretty light actually....i'd guess about the same as the alloy SR20 block. Box is a heavy mother though, over 50kg

If your whole car is 1470, that equals to 3240 lbs. The SC400 is quite heavier. It's rated at 3700 lbs stock that equals to 1678 kg. I added the stereo system, bigger wheels, turbo system that should be at least 150 lbs additional. I'm thinking about using carbon fiber hood to shave off at least 100 lbs.

There was a corner weight for an SC on CL recently... it was under 3400lbs for a 92-93, not sure.

Hehe could be worse weight wise, my project weighs 2300kg with me in it :dunno:


Though it can climb mountains and take me hunting/camping so I'm happy, for now.
