That must put a lot of strain on the drive train. Also it must loose a lot of bhp that way.

The drive is now by the chain that runs the front flange and it hasn't given any trouble in over 10,000k's.

As the car can get the front end up in the air I figure it has "adequate" power.

This made my old supercharged 1UZ Range Rover seem a doddle to drive.

This is the scariest thing I've ever driven.

Hats off to you that is a amazing bit of work and skill gone in to that.
I've been measuring the engine bay on my 89 Mitzi I don't think I can fit the V8 in it. The engine bay in my 2001 l300 is alot longer.

Due to the short wheelbase of the L300 I doubt you could get away with sliding the engine back to clear the sides of the engine bay.

If you dd it would be above the floor of the tray/bed.

Any OHV Yankie engine would fit as they are much narrower in the heads.
