Hi guys ive been following the ra65 conversion . 3 weeks ago i got my front sump engine and an a341e gearbox , imade up engine mounts and have just put the motor in with the box i first had to move acouple of things, move the brake goodie that sits against the fire wall crossed my fuel lines so that they are close to connect . Before i carry on the car is a lefthand drive so if something sounds odd now u know why . im running a gotech pro ecu and a dicktator gearbox ecu (they are 2 localy made aftermarket units to south africa) . Ive just about finnished wiring the gearbox (4wires left) to connect . the engine is all wired up and THE CAR STARTS for me thats good its the first time im trying something like this so that meens a big thumbs up to lextreme ,thanks to everyone whos posts ive read probebly most of you guys .I wouldnt have got this far without your help thanks . only thing i missed was idid not know the torque convertor got bolted to the flex plate
at: yes no gearbox drive ,went to toyota today and ordered 6 9mm bolts , ill try post some pics im not to good with a camera . things to do 1. radiator pipes plus new radiator ? 2. cut prop to fit 3. do exhuast thinking of running a single pipe , and ofcourse root pipe around steering as per ra65 4 bigger brakes going to a 310mm disc with four pod callipers i think thats about all for know . and before i forget thanks to john from importbitz for sending me the lenses from virginia Qld . cheers for now .
