Hi all,
I've got a 1UZ from a 1992 Soarer, it has a sender for low oil level. When the car was not running and had no oil in it, I took it off and checked it by moving the arm up and down. It opened and closed the circuit as it should.
But now it is installed on the car the light is stuck on, even though the oil level is good. It works by closure to ground when the oil level is low - so it is either sticking or something has gone short inside the unit.
Does anyone know if they are repairable? Or where I could get a replacement one from? My local Toyota dealer says they can't get the part anymore. PS I've obtained the part number: 89491-24010
Thanks, Mat.
