First welcome to the forum. We have several Supra owners here who have become interested in the UZ platform as an alternative to the 2JZ. In the US, the 1UZ is in its infancy as far as bolt-on mods go. It's sort of like the 7M motor was in the 80's, and the 2JZ in the mid to late 90's. Our Australian colleagues are at least 10 years ahead of us on hotrodding this motor (and probably hotrodding in general. At last count there were at least 6 state of the art, EMS's designed and built in Oz. Hmmm, how many do we have in the US now?)
In this forum, many things are being done with this motor for the very first time, so it's a lot of experimentation, and true hotrodding. This is a sharing experience and we enjoy discussing our discoveries and successes, as well as our failures. We do encourage those who contribute useful technical information to the community, and discourage those who try to commercialise the free knowledge gained from this site into proprietary "for profit" products.
To answer your question, RedSupra is probably the furthest along on getting his AEM to work with the 1UZ. Mitch Pedersen at AEM was kind enough to develop a 1UZ test configuration file for me, based on the 1100 box for the TT Supra, and I passed it to RedSupra several months ago. We've not heard from him recently and don't know the current status of his project, but he was "near to starting" the 1UZ when I sent him the AEM file.
TurboAndrew will also be using an AEM for his 2UZ Supra, as I am for my 1UZ project.
I also think Cowboy Bebop is planning on using an AEM with his 1/2UZ along with some sort of proprietary hybrid harness which he is developing.
There's several COP projects going currently, and probably mycarhaspossessedme's thread shows them off better than the others. Do a search for his threads, and you'll find more than you ever wanted to know about COP's for the UZ motor.
