Hi guys i think i need your help with this,
I have started to wire my 1UZ to the IS200 and i have done what i think is right, can any one please tell me if i have missed a wire out that should go somewhere,

IS/Wire's--to pin/outs on the 1UZ ECU

MREL ---to pin-4/26 off the 1UZ ECU
BATT---to pin-26/26
FC------to pin-8/26

IGSW---to pin-1/22
STA----to pin-2/22

what else do i need to wire up....?

all so how many earths are there from the engine ?

I have the car wired up but when i turn the key, all the lights go out and the ABS AND TRC relays click on/of and thats it. the starter has no sign of life, i have 12v in all the right places ( i think)

need some help please as this is my first wireing of an ECU i have done....and im a bit in over my head i think, but im not one to give up!

There is two brown wires (as I remember) should be connected to the earth also.
For the starter there is big black wire not in the ECU plugs but in the other plugs if you have them .. Other wise you can find it coming with the loom near to the valve cover. That wire going to starter and should be connected to the starter relay

Hi mshawari1.

yea i have them plugs, i was thinking if i needed to wire up some of them wires, thanks for that i will take alook and see what wires i have and let you know how i get on.

is there any more wire you can think of that i have missed ? or should take a look at.

As I remember the ISC wasn’t work after I start the engine then … I connect each wire has a Black/Red color ( in the other plugs ) to +12 . And I ground the engine directly from the battery . after that every thing was OK..

Have you sorted out the neutral start switch, and if you're running auto made sure that the gearbox is in park or neutral.

There's a wiring diagram put up by Cobber in answer to an ECU wiring thread I started, if you follow that wiring diagram it should work.

I'll have a look at the Cobra's I've wired up tomorrow and see if I can see what's missing from your wiring.

Cheers,

Tony

Hi Tonyd, i am runing a M/T, but then saying that thats what the car feels like....you know when you try and start an auto when its in gear, lights go out on dash and thats it!

could point me to that ECU fhread please :)

thanks

well i had alook over the wireing today, still could not see what was up with it, so i took the ECU,s out and pulled all the wires back out to the engine/bay and started to track all the wires back to see where they all went, only then i could see why i could not get it to start. some of the wires that i did not use but i should of ! and the wires that i did use they did not go anywhere,

so now with all the wire out in the open i can track them to see whats what, and get them all wired up to the right places. once i have done that i can then connect the ECU,s back up

I will let you know how i get on.....

Hi guys just to let you know i had the 1UZ turning over today, i by/passed the ecu,s and put a 12v down the big/black wire that was on one of them exter plugs i have (the ones that i asked if i needed some time ago) well it looks like i did need one of them, any way i had it turning over, but i had to stop ASAP as fuel way comeing out the fuel/rails :( all the fuel lines are ok, the fuel was comeing out where i had pluged the holes on the fuel/rails.

but saying that im happy i got it turning over.....so im off to fix them hoels, and then fined away of connecting that big/black wire up so it get a 12v down it only when i turn the key!! so i will be back later to let you know how i get on :)
