W58 limits behind turbo 1uz

Hey guys,
This is a question For those that have w58's behind a 1uz.
At what power/torque do they go bang? I know torque is the main thing that kills these boxes and some people claim to have put upto 500hp through them but I can't find any behind a 1uz that let go.

My setup is a 2wd hilux, W59, rear mount HX45, link extreme, 320cc injectors etc etc,
It made 305rwhp on 7psi (not happy with tuner). what would be max hp you would take the box to? considering there is no weight in the back of the ute and I don't drive it hard?

I had 265rwkw at 6.5psi and blew W58 to smithereens

unless you have the mkiv supra or sc300 w58, you will blow a w58 to pieces with anything over 280hp.

Thanks guys, looks like ill be up for a R154 and new bell housing. May have to wind it up just to see how far it will go

I did 2 drift practices on mine and now it makes a lot of noise. It depends what you're doing.. If its a daily driver and dyno queen, it might last a while.

If you're drag racing occasionally and doing hard launches, or drifting at all, it will NOT last. lol.
