I found this thread to further shed some more light on the Q45 engine...It looks like a very solid motor to me.....

I also noticed Q45 used engines are about 30-40% higher then Lexus 1UZFE engines. Even indivdual parts. Perhaps Lexus V8 engines were in multiple cars (LS, SC, Soarer, Celsior, Crown, Tundra, Sequoia and 4Runner)

Most people prefer the Lexus V8 because its physically smaller and lower in price and easily obtain parts. Remember, we still have the 2UZFE to battle the Q45's 4.5 Liter and we also have the new 5.7L to battle their 5.6L.
