John, I think that's a very rare 2000GT. When it was developed it was called the Japanese E-Type. It was produced in the late 60's and less than 500 were made. It starred in a James Bond movie, but I don't remember which one.

Some think the 2000GT was a 240Z knockoff, but if anything, the inverse was true. The 240Z didn't arrive until 1970, and I think by then, the 2000GT was done.

I like to think of the 2000GT as the great-grandfather of the MKIV Supra.

Gorgeous styling and a DOHC 6 that became the Supra standard.

it was the inspiration for both the mkiii and the mkiv.
especially the mkiii in the front fender dept. I know it's hard to tell from the pics, but in person it's more apparent.
