Hello,

I am currently in the process of making up a wiring loom for my 1uzfe (non VVTi) running on an SMC 1.92 LC ECU.
I am going to retain the twin distributor setup with the use of 2 IM112 ign modules and standard coilpacks but I have a few questions.
Attached is my proposed ign wiring diagram and would like your thoughts on this.
A couple of quick questions :
- Can I use the current crank sensor location (it is a 12 tooth setup)
- Can I use the existing TPS ( current sensor is 0.34-6.3 ohms closed and 2.4-11.2 kohms open)
- I will chose for ign output sequence cyliders=8, no of ign outputs=2, no of coils=2, sequence 2,1 ,ign op to cylinders 2=1,4,6,7 and 1=8,3,5,2 is this correct?

I would appreciate any assistance on the matter

Yes to all your questions. I run an SM2 is essentially that configuration. I'll have to check what ignitors i use as one Bosch version gets very very hot and they die fairly often.

The early smc chips could not run multi tooth
Basically for 4 cyl U needed 4 pulses per cycle
8 cyl u need 8
The later u could change the settings for that
Best of asking on autronic forums
Think 1.95 is around when they changed or might have been even later

just checke don autronic forum
and saw yr post there
so the 192 can run multiple crank pulses which is good

hey justin u played with traction control on an sm2
i just wired up a friends track car
wired up the tractin control to the 2 speeds but thru a reluctor interface
cause i used the abs sensors

im worried that the abs sensors have too many pulses per rev
so might run out of frequency on the sm2
also i ran the sensors on the drivers rear and the drivers front wheels
cause the sm2 has only 2 inputs
eastern creek is an anti clockwise track
but wakefield is clockwise
so its had to decide which wheels to run sensors off especially if some wheels lift up

I haven't yet Sideshow, but something i had always intended to do and i was going to use the ABS sensors as well so good to know it's works.

abs should work
im just worried bout frequency range input of sm2
i guess ill find out soon when we dyno it

i have hooked up
anti lag
launch control
traction control
boost curve select
