New IS500 (maybe)

For those of you that are not aware what Toyota has cooked up for us, here are the main specs of this IS500: a V8 (2UR-FSE) engine that develops 420bhp (at 5800rpm) and 550Nm of torque (at 3800rpm), 5.0L displacement, overall dimensions of 4665x1820x1435mm with a 2730mm wheelbase and a total weight of 1685kg.

there was something about this in the Car and Driver Japanese concepts a couple months ago. Supra is looking good too.

I'm not sure if that v8 IS concept will come to pass in the near future.
The 2gr-fse @ 306bhp is already pushing them at 13.5 in the 1/4 mile, stock. That's stock buick grand national territory. Another 100bhp & we'd see a 12 second factory lexus. Freaky.

There's nothing to say about its powerful engine. Its body style is nice overall, but I prefer a flat shape over the tall shape for a sporty car. That's why I chose my SC.

Work was done a few years back on an IS430 with a blower too. Never came though.
