2. Bitburg AB, Germany Nov 93 - Nov 94 (Closed the base down)
3. Spangdahlem AB, Germany Nov 94 - Aug 98 (Closed down the F-15 53rd FS)
4. Nellis AFB, Nellis Air Command, Las Vegas, NV Sep '98 - Present

After posting this up, we can see how small the Military community is getting. I have ran into several people that I have been stationed and deployed with via this post alone.

My son just finished his tech school training @ Lackland for Security Forces, and is home on leave before taking up his first posting at Tinker.

He was pretty keen to enlist as he'd had 4 years of ROTC in high school, but just wasn't ready for another 4-5 years of college.

Heartfelt thanks to all you servicemen and women out there.

Air Force is cool. I think there're several members here were or are in the military. I got a couple of friends who were and are in the military and they're all cool with great discipline. It seems like you're the demolition man who comes to close down the bases...LOL.

It's been like that so far. Nellis is under going a re-alignment. But I was stationed at all Cold War bases, so when the Cold War ended there was no need of those bases anymore.

Two deployments down, none to go! I will be getting out and shouldn't be stoplossed, so I can hopefully go to Art school for Automotive concept design.
