Lextremer in Super Street magazine - congrats Bigdaddeywalt!

The 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit is available for sale here.
you,re right Jibby, it was RWHP, and I was talking about his 178RWHP that is very low for a 250BHP engine.

Then, Xirforever reminded me that the firsts versions of the 1UZ were over-rated.

calculating a 20% drivetrain loss, that would mean the stock UZ with 178HP makes only 224HP. that's not little over-rating like mazda tend to do! we're 26HP below the rated engine.

thats a bit of a difference, 26 HP.
How much would a stock first edition 1uz make now, taking in mind it would of lost some horses from wear and tear in a completely stock motor.

jibbby, do you mean kw not kz??
The metric world mostly talks in kw's (kilowatts)
The old rule of thumb that i was taught & use is 20% driveline loss for manual & 30% loss for auto.
As a hp reading is roughly 30% higher than a kw reading (100hp=70kw) you can can dyno a auto car to get its rwhp, say 300rwhp, that means it has roughly 300kw's at the flywheel.
If you look at most standard 1uz's dyno at 180-190rwhp & the factory rates the engine to put out 190kw's .
Make sense???
