Engine is a 1uz from a Celsior with a chopped loom. I'm using a Microtech
LT-10s with X4 ignitor (not pictured) with comes with a full engine loom.

This Microtech loom looks dead simple, all pre marked with intructions...idiot proof.

Now. On the factory loom, what are these plugs
used for?

These 3 come off the loom which runs along of the RHS head up to the
front of the engine, above and just behind the ALT and PS.

This one LHS rear ?

This whole section of loom and the 5 plugs attached to it? (Auto box?)

Also, the Microtech only requires 1 tps, but buy the looks of it there are twin tps

I'm a total Noob when it comes to these engines, be that piston engines
in general. This is the 1st 1uz I've ever seen. I've only ever worked on
Mazda rotary's :poke:, but don't hold that against me, I'm on the right track now.

Hello
Photo 1 is the air flow meter and ignitor wires
Photo 2 - unsure
photo 3 - it is the auto box loom
photo 4 - looks like a speed sensor plug
photo 5 - looks like the gearbox position plug
photo 6 - only one TPS as other is the tracton control position sensor.

Basicly you shouldn't use any of the original loom - take it all off and only use the plugs you need if they are in good order like TPS, cam / crank sensers, injectors (these are normally stuffed and you should buy new ones) water temp etc. If any plugs are stuffed get other good ones - we often raid other toyotas for our plugs and then use the microtech loom. I would lift the manifold and remove the unused knock sensors and rewire the starter - get it checked while you are in there, remove the traction control butterfly and senser, remove waterlines to throttle body - if you don't have the extra box then the idle speed valve is no good so remove _ I would use a two wire off something else. The microtech is easy as to wire so read the book and it should take no time at all - cheers

idle speed control is on the front of the upper intake manifold -has a round black canister on it with a hose from the air intake tube running to it. lexus ran a six wire stepper - last microtech I did they could only do a two pin stepper - there is a guy over here which was developing a box to run the six wire as there a heaps of microtech lexus motors over here - I have two customers with them even - cheers
