Gang,

I was driving my Single Turbo LS400 and noticed some electrical shortage when I accelerate. I was suspecting a fuse or relay contact. One night I just gunned it and ALL power went out. Got the battery out and did some diagnostic on it and it was basically dead. I got a new battery but before i install it I want to inspect all the fuses, relays and wires. This is what found out. My positive wire was burned by the hot exhaust turbo manifold and shorted out my battery. See pictures below. I did thermo wrapped and I guess the heat was just too great.

Glad you were able to suss it out....nothing worse than a phantom electrical problem. Guess a wire re-route is in order, eh?

Yeah I did re-route it and again more thermo shield. That was why we couldn't start up the bad boy when u were here. Took care of the problem and now saving some money for dyno tune. The shop wanted $800 for dyno tune. I think its in the little expensive side.
