So has anyone heard of anyone using 5SFE pistons into a 1UZFE block. I have been looking around and found that the 5SFE piston is really similar to the 1uzfe piston. The 5SFE is 87.5mm bore with a 9.5:1 compression, .866 pin size, and is a dished piston with 4 valve reliefs. Also it is rumored the stock 5SFE pistons are forged.

Now this got me to thinking this would be a cheap way to drop the compression of the 1UZFE and be a little safer to run more forced induction pressure without the risk of blowing a piston up. So what do you all think?

Assuming the valve reliefs are the same (very similar head, so could be), this could be a good way to go. There's a good chance the compression ratio will be different with the 5S piston in the 1uz bottom end tho. The 3S-FE has the same size bore as the 5S right?

piston deck height is wrong. plus would be willing to put money on them not being forged
