2uz head 1uz block & uz combustion chamber volumes

Has anyone used early non vvt-i 2uz heads on a early non vvt-i 1uzfe block ? I have seen threads on this forum pertaining to this but they all refer to the vvt-i 2uz head on a non vvt-i 1uz block . Also does anyone know the combustion chamber volume of the uz family motors ? Thanks in advance !

The bore difference is a serious hurdle...i looked at the gasket area that you would be left with to seal the cyls and wasn't confident it would hold up for long.

Mate successfully runs 2UZ block with 1UZ vvti heads, 1UZ vvti factory management so far

Different issue. With a 2uz gasket you haven't compromised the seal area...squish is a bit shit but n/a that won't matter so much.

Big bore head on the small bore block, you just can't seal the combustion chamber well enough I don't think

I was just thinking the same thing. I have a 1UZFE and a ported and polished 2UZ heads, and I really wanted to through them on. No go? I'm just glad I did not start a new thread for this.

No because it won't work not enough gasket
