2JZ-GTE VVTi (Aristo) ECU immobilizer

Hi,

I may have the opportunity to purchase a very good condition, complete 2JZ-GTE VVT-i engine/trans setup from a JDM Aristo for cheap (~ 1000 USD).

The question is: dose it has immobilizer? do i need the key and the immobilizer computer?

Its a complete front clip ... but the key is not there!!


BTW, what you think about the price and the engine for swap.

what year is the 2jz

i know early vvti ones doent have security
but later ones might

look at the plugs on the ecu
i think the security ecus have an extra plug to the right of the other plugs
where as the non security ones have an open blank section

but if it has security and u have the front clip try to start the car
if it wont start just pay couple hundred dollars and get new key programmed

but i have seen or have somewhere 2jz vvti diagrams with security
most prob around 2000 models and later

A 1000$ US Dollars for a 2JZ aristo front clip is a REALLY good deal. Around here in the US(i live in florida) you'd be lucky to find a 2JZ longblock for a 1000$.

The car model is 2000.

after i check again ..

The 1000 price is for the engine only with the harness and ECU

for me .. I give up the idea!!
