    All USDM 2uz's (introduced in 1998) 8) 8) have oil coolers, toyota has not used 'Clip" style connector for the oil pressure switch since 92/93.

    Intercoolers are for chumps! John you can run E85 as well. It has an octane rating of 100-105, but availability stinks! :)

    That motor looks good boys! Don't forget those ARP LS1 Rod bolts. I think that the vvti 1uz has metal headgaskets stock.

    The MSD unit does not allow to advance timing, only to retard it. I think that for someone that does not need to retard ignition timing, an HKS DLI or MSD STACKER upgrade may be the way to go. It requires no wire cutting, and much easier to wire up than any capacitive discharge box that i know...

    I was looking at the 2300 as well. I still don't know what each blower flows.

    Not possible with the fixed ignition of the 1uz.

    Most piston manufacturers can make uz-fe v8 pistons. They just need some info about the motor, 4- 8 weeks and your money.
