For both fuel system and ECU, that all depends on what your budget is and what you're trying to achieve.
Have a read of this to see where you sit in the scheme of things.

Sounds like it needs a tune or has a problem.
Spitronics are a South African - I'm sure if you call or email them, they can recommend a reseller/tuner in your area.

This is a BVSV (Bi-Metal Vacuum Switching Valve) that inhibits the vacuum to the charcoal canister when the coolant temperature is cold.
I struggle to understand why Toyota put things like this on their engines. The solenoid it feeds is controlled by the ECU and it also has an engine temp input...
"The engine is cutting out" is a very broad statement, as there are literally dozens of reasons why an engine will cut out - and diagnosis is a process of elimination, working through each potential cause to confirm whether it is (or isn't) the cause. If the fault has been detected by the ECU...
Engine swaps, even seemingly straightforward and "bolt in" swaps, always come with complications and added costs. Will the extra cubes really deliver what you're after... and given the improvements that can be found in headers and some tuning, are the cubes necessary? The 1UZ is a strong motor...

Hi - with your tire size and diff ratio, this should be your speed chart.
KPH = RPM / gear ratio / diff ratio * tyre circumference * 60 / 1000000
MPH = as above * 0.62
Mine is slightly slower (3.69 diff and 245/45R17 tyres) and it drives and cruises just fine.
After some more testing, the engine was faster to heat up (past 95c) and taking longer to cool down.
In theory, the coolant velocity through the front bypass pipe would pull fluid from the turbo back into the radiator.
Turns out that Setup 1 (below) causes the outlet flow out of the engine to...
The 2 wire IAC Solenoid does buzz a little when the engine isn't running but its imperceivable as soon as the engine starts. The closed loop on it works very well.

While there is much more to do on the car before it's finished, I am nearing the point where it's ready for dyno tuning. One of the main concerns I had was the cooling system. The current setup is:

20AN fittings with 1.25” hoses
