Okay this may sound completely retarded but maybe someone can help me. I have this strange obsession with running a 1uz vvti in my 4runner. Thing is I also want the 5speed auto. Only problem only one off adapters have been made to mate a transfer case to the a650e.
Here are a few thoughts I had in my head, keep in mind I'm not wanting to pay thousands for aftermarket tunes or adapters.
1. Divorced transfer case(don't have much room for this but can be an option)
2. a750f extension housing on the a650e(if possible)
3. a750f in place of a650e(if ecu can control trans)
4. 2uz vvti ecu running the 1uz vvti motor(not sure if it would work but the 2uz ecu will control the a750f transmission)
Now I'm sure a couple of you are wondering why not swap a 2uz in simply because of cost and weight I'm trying to stay as light as possible for this swap. Really trying to stay away from aftermarket controllers unless someone knows of one that can control a 5 speed auto reliably and is cost effective.
