    1UZFE in Suzuki

Adapt a 1UZ to any part of a Suzuki drivetrain? Are you serious? I'd be using a hilux/surf gbox-tcase. Best size/strength compromise & adapters should be easy to come by. Got pics? I thought of building a 1UZ Zook but to get a decent std Zook to build up would have cost the same as the...

truck swaps - how did you do cooling? WANT PIcS

If you're using it off road or in traffic you want to run the std belt driven viscous fan. Cheap electric fans won't do the job. You've got a 4 runner right? Most of the conversions I've seen leave the trans in place & cut out & move forward a section of the x-member above the radiator. This...

1 uzfe Manual transmision on a low budget

I would suggest R15x gbox - adapter plate - modified 1UZ bellhousing - custom flywheel & modified release bearing. Cheers Clint

    1UZFE in a Maserati Biturbo

A friend made the flywheel for my conversion, get a big lump of steel, measure everything up, grind the ringgear off the 1UZ flex plate, machine for a shrink fit. Machine out the front to get the weight you want, Use the flex plate as a template to drill the crank bolt holes. We used an RB25DETT...

    LJ71 Landcruiser Conversion

No suspension lift yet for me. Maybe with a lift & a rear sump you'd just about clear it, not sure. You'd have to pack down the bumpstops too though so you'd lose out on some travel. Don't be scared of modifying the sump, it's only an afternoons work for somebody that that knows their way...

Twin Turbo 1UZ 4wd AC Cobra Replica Project

I think that's the likely option at the moment. So that diff just gets a continuous feed from the pump & the electronic valve next to the pump changes the pressure to alter the split? Cheers Clint

    1uz Fe Pajero.. :-)

Cool. The other reason to go SAS is that most IFS (independent front suspension) 4x4's have a pretty weak front diff & CV's, 'specially once ya start pushing them with a V8. Cheers Clint

Twin Turbo 1UZ 4wd AC Cobra Replica Project

With the long nose on the Cobra the front diff sits forward of the engine. Cheers Clint

Twin Turbo 1UZ 4wd AC Cobra Replica Project

Yep, still 4x4. He's just trying to work out whether to try & run the std computer control on the variable centre diff or just have a sensible---->stoopid dial. Cheers Clint

    A Few 1UZ Conversions:

Mike's personal project is an AC Cobra replica. It is based on GTS-4 4WD Nissan Skyline running gear & will be powered by a rebuilt, ported, decompressed, twin turbo, intercooled 1UZ-FE with a LinkPlus ECU. Yes, there will be anti-lag. :mischievo Of course his work van is powered...

    A Few 1UZ Conversions:

Here's a few conversions for ya. My mate Mike has done a few now, All of these ones were done with assistance from the owners. Mike & his brother Dan did the 1st one a few years back, an Izusu Bighorn: He's done a few since then, lately if you leave a suitable wagon parked outside the...

    Hiace van up and running

One off a GM V6, he milled down the stock intake & welded a very slim plenum on top to bolt the blower to. It all fits under the seat, just. I'll put up some pics sometime. Cheers Clint

    Hiace van up and running

That's actually a model of sanity next to my mate who just put a supercharger on his 1UZ Hiace  Apart from a cheap set of mags it looks totally stock, the sleeper from hell. Nice work on that one tho gloverman :veryhappy Cheers Clint

4 cyl diesel tacho - 1UZ tacho, how?

Cheers Hi-lex, keep us posted on that one. I RFTM last night & discovered that the Link ECU fires in wasted spark config so adjusting down the signal from one of the igniter feeds would probably work. My soldering isn't that flash but I know people who could do it & they work for beer. First...

4 cyl diesel tacho - 1UZ tacho, how?

Thanks Guys, the 22R powered RJ70's are rare/nonexistent here so it looks like it's off to the instrument tech. Cheers Clint

4 cyl diesel tacho - 1UZ tacho, how?

Hi guys, one job still to do on the conversion into my LJ71 is to get the tacho working. Just wondering what others have done? I'd be happy to get the original one going, it doesn't go high enough but I reckon when I'm doing those sorts of revs I'm not gunna be looking at the dash anyway & I...

    LJ71 Landcruiser Conversion

It's going great so far, well over twice as much power was always going to be good. It'll be getting a good offroad test next weekend so keep an eye on that thread on Offroad Express for a report & more pics. The only major fitment issue was modifying the sump to fit around the diff. It was a...
