Heads flow better , inlet manifold much better to work with. Shim under bucket ,larger & lighter valves ,COP had to be change to suit cdi. Question would be why would one use the early heads apart from off the shelf cams.

They can not run in reverse direction ,hence the double sided belt set-up.

Only had 9lb boost @4500 rpm because of belt slippage.But that did give us 470 rwhp.Currently changing to different belt set-up. The engine is built with built up cams,performance valve springs, fully ported heads,custom forged pistons(8.8-1) to suit the 1uzfe crank,argo rods ,850cc...

Why stuff about ,Grab some argo rods and ross pistons.That way you will have an engine that will run an easy 700hp.(Cash flow. sell wife or kids)

I have a pair of non vti 2uzfe heads . Cams are being welded ground ,valve springs are in hand. Will have the heads flow and ported. in the next couple of weeks. Will then let you know.

When the heads turn up , will have to measure the combustion chamber volume and dia. After doing a search on the 2uzfe /1uzfe combo, it appears to have been discussed but never tried. One thing I didn't think of was combustion area design with a low comp.piston. Any thoughts.

I am hoping that the the head gasket sealing area will work with the small Dia. bores. I have used the late factory MLS gasket and 1/2 head studs on the current engine and had no sealing problems (600 RWHP).Will use the same combo.

Jibbby 500rwph stock engine was of time . My engine has been built up with most of the right stuff eg: rods pistons cams springs valve studs. It already runs 583 rwhp .Looking at twin Rotrex C30-94 superchargers.
