As the heading suggests, I'm after somewhere in Melbourne that I can buy lengths and bends of 3" aluminium tubing to re-route the air intake out of the engine bay. Is this a speciality item or any aluminium supplier can help.
I bought some tube from O'Brien Alloy..
The inlet we made was put together using two pieces welded together..
If we did it again we'd have the welds up the side and polish weld a little..

Not good weld this one was rejected..

Welded and machined so all even then tapped back
to bell-mouth ..
Not saying this is best or anything it's what we did and it's not running yet.. This was made for all out forced induction power...
Another way.. Weld a thick bead around the top and polish a nice even radius over weld..
