Hi everyone I just purchased an import engine with loom and computer for a transplant project. The guy said it was from a 92 Celsior.
It has a front sump
Spark plug leads say 1990
computer= 89661-30430. 26p 16p 22p with seperate 8p plug.
I looked at the 90 ls400 wiring diagram and it says the computer has 4 plugs, 22, 26, 16, 26, so doesn't match although the plugs that are the same match colours.
The plug configuiration matches a Crown ECU but the wire colours are all different.
The loom only had the 26, 16, 22 plugs and didn't have any cut wires.
I'm trying to wire it up but don't know what diagrams to use???
Any help would be much appreciated.

I saw one of these mixed up setups the other day. What appears to be a crown ECU which is normally found with a mid sump but running the front sump instead. And factroy produced. They must have had some old ECUs left over when they changed models. Cheers

Ok guys after lots of studying and head scratching it appears the crown wiring diagram wont work with my setup.
I traced some wires and my engine sensors run to different computer pins than the crown diagram.
A lot of stuff matches up to the Celsior diagram but 1 26pin plug is missing? From the numbers I mentioned earlier it seems i have a crown computer. Do all Crown ECUs have identical pins/plugs?
Are the plugs interchangeable between Crown/Celsior?
I'm wondering if the importer swapped computers and just chucked the other 26 pin plug??

The crown and Celsior first three plugs swap perfectly. Did you get this motor off japspares who had it advertised on trade me? I received a motor a while back and it had the ABS ECU pluged into it. The ABS unit sits beside the engine computor in the cars. It plugged in perfectly and the importers staff didn't know the difference. If they can't help you I think I have a spare 26/16/22/26 ECu in the computer box. There is also a crown one in there too. Cheers

Ah it looks like my computer doesn't match my loom.
Yeah I got it off Jappspares in Auckland.
Hi Kelvin I just realised it was you, You tuned my Suby powered jet boat recently! It's going great.
I've started another smaller puddle hopper and putting 1uz in it.
I wonder if I'm better off sourcing a Celsior ECU or swapping wires and using the Crown ECU?
I'm fabricating some water cooled manifolds with risers so my o2 sensors dont get wet.
I'll call in next week and show you my ECU.

I had another young guy come in with the listing for that very motor and it didn't make sense to have that motor / ECU combo. If Japspares can't help then I should have the correct ECU and all the wiring diagrams you need ( and tricks for a boat) . Cheers

Well I heard the Celsior ECU was a bit tricky to get running right so I'm sticking with this Crown one. I got both wiring diagrams, cut the wires and matched them up to the Crown ECU.
It runs!! doesn't start easily and idles quite high but at least it goes.
I'm tracking down the cold stsrt injector as I dont think its connected.

I will come around and check it for you - There is a common problem people make when wiring them. I got my little boat going today. Cheers

I'll say it again there is no probs getting celsior ecu running

just a bit of advice for all 90% of jap importers know jack ****

There is one mob in liverpool way that I tell customers of an increase of 200 to 300 dollars in overal price if I get stuffed up by that importer because 1 in 5 sets that come from them have problems
