Hi,

Just looking at the stock inlet manifold tonight, if I go for an aftermarket ecu with a MAP sensor, what can I take off the inlet side of things that I won't need, and help clean it all up, as this is in a marine application ?, I was thinking of blocking the (what Looks like) an ERG valve at the front of the top have of the manifold, removing the traction control stuff, as I will only need the TPS and a vac line for the MAP, I will keep the hose on the opposite side of the throttle body that runs from the cam cover to the inlet,

Has anyone got any pics, or ideas on what needs to be done?

Thanks in Advance

Dave

The valve on the front of the manifold is the idle control valve.

some other things are Diagnostic port and cold start injector.

Thanks Daniel,

with an aftermarket stand alone ecu, will i still need the idle control valve?, as being in a boat, I don't really need idle as much as in a car, I have seen some car with it blocked off that run say a microtech or haltech setup

Thanks again

Dave

I have done alot of boats and I feel its best to have a proper idle system. It awesome dropping the boat into the water and it sits and idles from cold and everyone else has to warm their boats up.

What ECU are you running?

Cheers
