Weird random vibration.

92 LS400 with 122k on it..

vibration feels like its coming from the driveshaft or the half shafts. It is completely random except that it only occurs under acceleration, almost feels like you ran over a few of those lane seperating plastic bumps glued to the concrete, though a little less severe. sound familiar to you guys at all?

Is it random or does it happen when you acclerate? Those are different.

Accerlation could be driveshaft. Often a driveshaft that needs to be rephased, or retimed if you will, will vibrate with accleration or deceleration only. You would have to have removed a shaft or u-joints to get this condition.

does not always happen during acceleration, though it only happens when im accelerating.. get my drfit? hehe..

Turbo, take it to a suspension place and have them do a bush check through the whole car, shouldn't cost more than $10-$20... This could pick up any worn bushes moving under load. I had something similar, very irregular vibration and not all the time, it was a lower lateral spindle arm which was totally shot. Result was that one of the back wheels would move in and out of alignment constantly resulting in vibration that came and went at random.
Might be something similar?
