vvti questions

Ok, i have my vvti engine, feeling pretty good now,
can anybody tell me what the black plastic bos is that sits on the top right hand side connected to the air in duct? it has one or two hoses attached. i want to remove it if its not required. Also, whats the bestb product to use to clean up the oxide on the aluminium conponents. my motor weighed 230kgs with no box or ac pump. I still cannot be sure if the microtech ecu is the right one to control my engine as well as the vvti. and help appreciated.

No, definatley kg. (Australian)& vvti not standard 1uz.
Is better than the 375kg 351 that came out of the boat.
To me that makes the 1uz bloody light.
I must admit, that that was the weight on the couriers invioce.

We need a photograph or very good description of your black box.

If you can't post a photo please be very specific as to what the how big the box is, what it is attached to and the size of the hoses and where they go. Then we will all do our best to answer your question.

ok Zuffen,

as you would be aware, the vvti has the air intake coming from the front.
so looking front on the black box is a flat long rectangle shape with i think a hoses coming od the cam rocker cover. it may just be a pollution gear type thing. i guess ill just pull it apart and have look. but i will post pitcure so other people can see close ups of an vvti 1uz. but it is definatly connected to the air in black ducting. just makes the engine look a little ugly what ever it is..
