VVTi from Crown Power Output

Hi all,

I was wondering what causes the power difference between a Celsior and Crown 1UZ VVTi. From my understanding, the Crown outputs 276 bhp while the Celsior outputs 290.

I've read that the earlier Crown motors had restrictive exhaust manifolds, but apparently that wasn't the case for the VVTi variation.

So, what's responsible?

I suspect it's in the mapping of the ECU. Swap them over between jobs and the LS item seems to go better.
