The VVTi engines came with a drive by wire throttle, but had a cable for back-up / redundancy.
Two questions. Does the existing throttle body on the VVTi engines easily allow for use of the cable alone? It seems that this would be mandatory in any swap project. Especially if the swap involves a manual transmission, which brings me to my next question: has anyone successfully swapped a VVTi 1UZ into an application with a manual transmission?
