Hi

I want to do a engine swap. I am looking for a 1UZ, 2UZ or 3UZ swap.
My drive line is stock right now with a 2L 2.4 engine and a 5 speed manual with stock diff.

What do I need to do the swap?

Can I use the stock gearbox and stock diff?

Which engine is the best option if I want to use the stock gearbox, is it the 1UZ, 2UZ or 3UZ?

Do I find any shops who sell any parts for the swap?

Chances are you 65 has the small weak gearbox which I try to avoid. I've got yet another one to remove as its stuffed and its only got an early non vvti in front of it. Ive got a customer with a vvti with small box and hes finally decided a bigger R box is better after smashing 3 little ones. I have a ln65 in getting a few bits and pieces sorted atm.

hello. i have a 1988 hilux single cab with 1uzfe. a friend built it, i dont know much about this sort of stuff but i know its got a w57 gearbox, s14 front disk, still got drums on the back he had to custom make a alternator mount and engine mounts, and gear box cross member. - no power steering. if u want to find out more info hit me up

Hey mate im doing the same build at the moment with a 91 2wd. Have you got any more photos of your build? Did this ute have power steer before the UZ went in?
