Ever purchased a new timing belt and found that it didn't have the correct timing marks or maybe when you fitted it, it looked like the marks had to be wrong well here's some info that might help:-
Definitions:-
“Teeth” more than one Tooth
“Tooth” = the raised / high part of the belt or gear.
“Hollow” = the low part between two teeth
Belt specifications:-
• 209 teeth. 34mm wide, Gates T190, EB1190 or similar
• The left and right cam marks are over a hollow in the belt.
• 54 teeth between the Left cam hollow and Right cam hollow.
• The Crank Mark is over a tooth in the belt.
• 78 teeth including crank mark tooth between Crank Mark and Right Cam hollow (tensioner side).
• 77 teeth including crank mark tooth between Left Cam hollow and Crank Mark (idler side).
• Note. If you are using this information on a belt that isn’t marked be aware of the arrows pointing in the direction of rotation for the belt.
