Can anyone tell me what diff ratio the crown used so I can work out what ratio I should use in the hot rod.

My Brother and I are planing to build a T bucket hot rod that will be powered by a 1uzfe and auto out of a crown front cut. We already have most of the parts laying aroud including the engine.

Usually 3.909:1

Anything from 3.5 to 4.1 works will with the 1UZ.

Some folks have kept the factory Holden 3.08:1's, but I personally would find it inappropriate.

Thanks for that. We currently have a ford 3.08 diff but were thinking of changing it anyway. I might look for something in the 4's as we don't need a high top speed just good acceleration.

Unless your rod will be a ratrod don't forget the rear tyres will be pretty tall so the lower the ratio the better.

It is pretty much going to be a rat rod as it will be made up of parts we have laying around, but that is a good point about the tyres.
Does anyone know what size tyres the crown has as sandard? This will help me correct the speedo if I end up using the crown instruments.
