Super charger in California

i want to put a whipple w140ax s/c on my sc400, but i don't think there is a way for it to pass a smog test in California, does anyone in california know any thing i could do to pass the test? Appreciated.

Sorry.. .miss-read your post. We discourage the discussion of legal issue here and we dont know any place can trick the car to pass smog.

well, does anyone have a supercharged lexus v8 in CA that passes the smog test?

You probably wont even pass the visual check unless you get a really dumb worker. Pretty much the only way to get it done is to find a shady shop in your area (which shouldn't be all that hard in Stockton). You could also do what most every Honda kid does... take it off, go through smog, put it back on. Repeat every 2 years.

have you figured out the bracket and the complete kit for the SC 400?

you wont have a problem getting past inspection--just go to small grundgy shop that says "smog tests-if you dont pass you dont pay" there are plenty of those out there-at leaste in my home town of fresno Ca. as long as the tail pipe has good numbers you will be ok
