Stripping an LS400 - What to KEEP list

I'm in the middle of stripping an LS400 for it's engine, to install it in my MX5 (miata). I have read all the excellent threads, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive list of parts required from the donor car.

Last thing I want to do is scrap the car and then have to buy parts back

This might be helpfull to anyone thinking of doing a conversion into any car, regardless of which make and model.

Please add to this thread and I'll up-date it.

This is not a complete list!

If there is anything Car Specific, let me know and I'll make sure it's mentioned after the item.

Mechanical

Engine
Gearbox - if keeping auto
Bell housing - for manual conversion
Prop Shafts ? - probably if keeping auto

Wiring

ECU and loom
Fourth ECU plug and wiring
Fuel pump ? and related wiring ?


Piping

Intake pipes
Exhaust pipes - can be used if "modified" till you get a custom system
Water pipes - No harm in keeping
Power steering pipes - No harm


PLEASE ADD! I'm scrapping the car tomorrow!
