Hi guys,
I'm still looking for a good deal of turbo and I've recently found a strange manifold design with its turbo on Ebay. It's not for my SC400 but I just want to show you guys because it's strange. Here it is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbo-Never-Used-for-Any-2-4L-Engine_W0QQitemZ8026549118QQcategoryZ33742QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem. The turbo turbine goes directly back to the manifold. What is that? Where does the exhaust expel? I haven't seen this design before. The manifold is a casted one. Perhaps there's a secondary exhaust pipe somewhere.

yeah that is an old dodge thing. the manifold, turbine housing, and discharge are all casted as one unit. the actual downpipe bolt up on the underside of the assembly. directly under area that you see the discharge going to. the discharge is not open to the actual exhaust runners as it may appier in its design.

I have heard that one of the bennifits of this type of design is less chance of cracking due to more even heat distrubution although I have not seen any proof to back this claim up. The only real bennifit that I can see is less joints that could possibly leak. It probably also makes for easier installation at the factory.

I see. That's why I didn't see the downpipe at first. But if the exhaust gas to the turbine is divided, one is to the turbo turbine, and one is to the downpipe, will there be any loss in the pressure to turn the turbine?

Oh, man! When I looked at your logo of the "T" f..cking the "H", I couldn't stop laughing. It's creative but it saddened me a little bit, because I used to be a fan of Honda cars.

No, its not divided, all 4 ports go to the turbine. The manifold part of it is like a typical log style manifold. its no open between the discharge tube and the manifold except in the waste gate area obviously only when the wastgate is open.

Yeah, It is kinda ironic about my T f'ing the H cause I do own 3 things that are made by honda. (CRB 954 streetbike, CR125 dirtbike, and a Honda powered generator) the only car that I would ever own by the big H, well here the big A is an NSX.
