My transplanted motor doesn't run right.

Was running real good after i got it wired up. Perfect in fact.
Now it takes a few scary goes to start. It fires terribly on the first few start attempts then when you get it to go it runs a bit ruff then perfectly.

The rev counter does bounce around erratic witch is accompanied with some slight misfiring . This is intermittent with no real regularity.

Even when it is hot and you try and start it again it takes a few goes?

It is a 95 celcior motor running the factory computer with a manual box it is the late style airflow meter type.

Has anyone experienced this type of thing?

Cheers

Yea had a bit of a look at that. Seems it is grounded as per standard. bolted to the guard with good exposed metal connection.? Teste4d the coils and they seem to be getting good voltage. haven't been able to test if it is intermittent? Is there any tests to see if the igniters are faulty?(as i dont have a spare set to try?)

I'd suggest you have abroken wire somewhere on the ignition side.

It doesn't make 100% contact when it first starts up and settles as the engine warms.

Whilst I may be way off the mark that's where I'd start looking if it were mine.
