Gday I have a 1uz with an m90 on bulletcars inlet manifold,7psi pulley, running stingerII ems system with a w55 supra box and last time it was dynoed it had 298hp at the rear in a 84 2wd hilux with 3.73 lsd but that was now over 100000kms ago.My next plan is to do cams and put forged pistons in to get even more out of it. Also have found it will only run on bp ultimate or mobil 8000 without detination. So if this helps

175 rwkw seems a liitle bit low, even for 5 psi of boost. 16 psi of boost should make more power. But it's nice however.

Thats the info im looking for. But 950nm seams a bit to high, that works out to 700ftlbs.

hi guys

just a wee update on my 1uz , previously i quoted these mods

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
a few months ago the boyz at dynopower in NZ ,
attacked my 1uz
they fitted the biggest radiator we could ,
fitted water/meth injection kit ( which turned out to be a lemon )
fitted the newer model Link Extreme ECU
because of the problems with the water/meth system we binned there controller and let the link ECU control the water/meth injection system
this is now working really well , engine is no longer over heating !
she is so nice to drive now , i love the new power :)

power has increased slightly to 430hp / 320kws @ wheels
torque is still the same 950nm / 700ft lbs

next mission is to fit a 5 speed ( R154 from the 1jzgte )
it will be interesting to see how much power drop the auto has from running a manual box, looking at doing the conversion later this year

because the car was in New Zealand and i am living in Japan
in march we imported my ride to japan , so awesome i get to drive it now
yes it runs very nice on the japanese high octane fuel

hi Hachibill,
yes those torque figures are correct,
i would be more than happy to email you a copy of the dyno sheet
you can mail me direct at [email protected]

cheers

Your supercharger make & model: Vortech V2 s-trim

Drive / Driven Pulleys: 73mm SC pulley

Boost @ RPM: 6psi

Engine & mods: intercooled, extractors, high flow twin 3 inch system, r154 manual, lsd

Dyno or 1/4 mile HP or KW @ RPM if you have it, along with ambient temperature, elevation, etc. N/A atm

Eaton M90 with 60mm pulley running 9psi on std crank pulley from a ford thunderbird with home made intake
385cc injectors at around 65% duty at wot
Home made manifold as bullet charge too much:D
running gen 1 link v5 grp fire
also in a winch truck that weighs 2150kg at dyno ran 31" tyres and 596 ft pds ( 804 nm) estimate around 280hp at the wheels
Torque curve nice and sharp from idle max tq at 1800 rpm give or take a bit ,red line 6500 rpm with a soft cut then hard cut.
Have since changed exhaust and gear ratios in the diffs so until re dyno'd wont know numbers. but they will yield way better results
running 95 pump gas..

Only the exhaust will give you any increase in torque at the Flywheel.

The gearing change will give you more tractive force, which will make it feel like it has a lot more power.

I'm contemplating a change from 4/11 to 4.83 in my Rover for the same reason.

Easier and cheaper to get more power (torque) on the ground with gears than playing with the engine. Been there and done that with the UZ and didn't like the fuel economy of 45l/100klm!

I would expect an improvement in economy as the throttle opening won't be as large to keep it rolling.

Mine only weighs 1850kg and runs 35's.
