alright if someone has an R154 around could you please mesure the length from the mateing surface (where the motor mates to it) to the center of the shifter im assumming this is the same for all of them but just in case could you include what car it came from thanks.
this may be confusing if so sorry ask and ill try to clear it up.

Its not the same for all of them... I have the JZA70 version sitting in my garage... the UZ version puts the shifter further back.

how is there a uz version of the R154? the uz never came manual or do you mean with a dellow bellhosing?
could you mesure that tranny you have for me, and do you happen to know the diffrence?

Sorry JZZ...

The difference is a rear or centre position. Rear is circa supposed to be 50mm further back.

does this mesurement include the belhosing and also is it an exact mesrement, seems odd that it would be a perfect round number.

i mesureed a silva transmission i have and it was about 787mm and a T50 that i have that also is about the same so it seems odd that the R154 would be so much shorter if including the belhousing i would like an exact mesurement if its not too much trouble not a estamate. i ned to know exacly how far the shifter will sit from the motor prefferably on a mk3 supra version

I think you should go to a wrecker or something and measure one yourself :) That way you will be happy with the mesurement you take.

if wreckers around here just had them i would pull it if it seemed to be in working condition or not. the 50$ they ask for transmissions isnt enough to sway me from pulling a bad one just to use for mock up porposes. but turbo supras arnt somthing that make it into yards very often at all. if ever ironticly there are two Sc400s in the yards i go to still with complete 1uzs.
