I'm replacing the bearings on my 1UZ serpentine belt idler and tensioner pulleys. The idler pulley came off easily but the tensioner pulley appears to be stuck on it's shaft. Is there a trick to removing it? Do I need to use a puller? Really don't want to break the tensioner casting! TIA..

You could remove the tensioner an tap the pulley of the shaft, leaving the bearing on the shaft.

Break out the angle grinder and cut the bearing almost all the way through the inner race. it should then crack the cut and come off quite easily.

The bearing is a common size and readily available.

Clean up the tensioner shaft and reassemble.

Not forgetting the tensioner has a left hand thread.

Thanks, but I'm trying to avoid having to remove the tensioner with all the extra work involved. Just wondered if it was standard for one pulley to fall off with the bolt removed and the other to feel like it's a press fit?
