Perhaps some of you have seen or know about James Glickenhaus' gorgeous P4/P5 Ferrari?
Glickenhaus is a very wealthy ex-movie producer, money manager, and a hotrodder of the highest caliber. He maintains a fascinating collection of some of the rarest racecars of the 60's and he actually gets them out and drives them!
He freely shares his restoration work and experiences on the GT40s.com website, and posts there regularly. While he is certainly in a different league than most of us hotrodders, we can experience something of what it's like to own and drive these very rare cars vicariously through Jim's posts and photos.
Awhile back he was approached by Pininfarina to do an upgrade/conversion on an Enzo, essentially turning it into a P4/P5 - something which has never been done before. The work was finished late last year and the car has been taking many design awards all over the world.
Jim has recently pointed the GT40s membership to this site: http://www.repubblica.it/speciale/poll/2007/motori/concorso_risultati.html
where his car is competing for another very desirable design award, and readers are encouraged to vote on this page: http://www.repubblica.it/speciale/poll/2007/motori/concorso.html
Have a look at these cars, and if you feel so inclined, vote for Jim's one of a kind car. You'll certainly be helping a fellow hotrodder.
