There's a low oil pressure switch on the cast aluminum neck that bolts up to the oil pump, and holds the oil filter. That low oil pressure switch drives the idiot light on the dash.
I would think you could easily remove that switch and put an electric sender there instead, and then run a couple wires to your electric oil pressure gauge in the cabin.
IIRC, that switch's threads are going to be either 1/4" or 1/8" BSP, which may be a little tough to mate.
