Ok,
This is so stupid and so interesting. Remember I posted few weeks ago about not getting power to my fuel pump ( http://www.lextreme.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3587 )? Well, guess what? My mechanic installed the cams wrong and the crank and cam signals were off and the ECU would not give power to the fuel pump and no fuel.
Finally the mechanic took the cams out and re-installed it. The car is running now but its having problem with idle. The big question is would the faulty installation of the cams affect the valves and pistons? In another word, do u think my valves are damaged because of the pistons hitting it? I talked to JBrady and he stated the Pre-94 engines are none-interference. So is that mean the valves are un-damage?
I do have slightly dished pistons with .60" MLS gaskets (stock is .051") I am just crossing my fingers about the valves being damage.
What do u think?
