newbie need a little info on swap

I'm putting a 1uzfe into my 1980 toyota truck(you know that old story) and I'm wondering if the motor will bolt directly up to a transmission from a early 90's land cruiser(manual).

Looking to do the same with my 1990 LJ70 Land Cruiser, will probably have to have a look on either an Aus or NZ site, as I don't think they had this Cruiser in the USA

I don't think so. The Land Cruisers have the 3F-E engines. Which is an inline 6. Could always make an adapeter plate. I'm wondering how far off the Tundras trans are off??? To me that would be a closer fit and there are a few Tundras with manual transmissions.

if it uses a asin automatic transmission it would be easy to make an adaptor. You could probably use an existing adaptor....

the 90's cruiser box should be a R15* series box.

of which there are bellhousings and adapter plates galore for.
