I am a novice in motor swap/conversion. I am looking into transplanting my motor from my 92 LS400 into a 1982 Toyota corrola SR5. I am wanting to keep it naturally aspirated , for now. 300 hp at flywheel would be nice. I want a manual, of course, but am not sure what tranny works best for this application. What kind of differential would I need and do I need a custom driveshaft? Also, I am wanting to make single exhaust, in order to keep it with sleeper look, but am not sure what diameter and what setup to use in order to get a nice tone. I am thinking 3" at Y collector to 2 1/2" out back. I am on a low budget, but dont want to settle for low quality either. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
