hey everyone im trying to figure out if i need to go aftermarket ecu.
my goals are pretty moderate
i just want a reliable car and to run a moderate amount of boost

currently i have a 97 1uzfe (non vvti) in my 87 supra
just intake and exhaust work have been done. and its manual.

im looking to make everything simple and plain so im going to run a stock ct26
at 8lbs of pressure
i figure this will give me all the power ill need for now
i was also looking into going cop for the sake of engine bay neatness and im told i will have to go standalone for that.
any input is greatly appreciated.

You'll end up having a weak rod uz with poorly matched turbo and piggy backed fueling. Reliability will be in the weight of your foot.

Aftermarket supercharger kit would be 'simple', if you can get one second hand it could be cost comparitive?

Standalone for COP.

Stay low boost and keep the dizzy set up it works fine. Many people still retain it on much higher boost with no issues.

MS3 looks good value and will run the engine with no issues.

ok so would it be a good idea to just go ahead and strap the turbo on and add in a rising rate fpr and call it a day?
keeping the 8psi boost limit in mind?

i never use any of ms2 or even ms3 on my uzfe v8
so really need to hear alot from u guys.... whats the diff on uz engines when u run on full sequential mode
