Since I am still in the Cobra scene I have some connections of getting an almost free charger. Here are some picture of the charge on Richwood Manifold.

I will be making an adaptor plate for the throttle body from M112 to 1UZ TB. It will be water jet cut with 3/8" aluminum. Please let me know if you guys are interested because since I am doing it might as well.

If this M112 has the same height as the M90, then you should be perfectly ok. You might go for a smaller pulley and that'll save some down lope from the hood. You can definitely shave the supercharger's bottom and the TB's top with not much of a problem. Bring the supercharger to the next meet!!! It's lovely.

Its not only lovely, its also very heavy. I think I am going to shave 1 1/8" from the bottom. I am also trying to figure a way to add either two large extra injector or 4 medium. I want to make sure all cylinder get the proper amount of fuel. So I need to see. I am not sure how tall the M90 is but the M112 is definately taller. Yes, smaller pulley will help. However, stock Cobra M112 came with 8 rib and our car is only 6 ribs. So I need to see if other chargers' pullies would work.

The 112 is a couple of mill lower than the M90
WOW.... M90 is shorter then M112? Interesting....

Here is what my brother (CNC Specialist) and I made earlier today. This is a throttle body plate from the Cobra Elbow to 1uzfe TB. With this plate, the 1uzfe will bolt onto the M112 and the Cobra OEM elbow.

The BMW mini cooper S superchargers have got the right form if ribbing (6) to take a stock 1uzfe belt. if you can measure up the inputshaft diameter I can measure mine and see if they would fit. stock mini pully's should be cheap since most have been exchanged for smaller ones.

the stock diameter is 2.583"

David,
Do you want to test it on my car as part of the Research Development cost? You'd need some prototype kit, but leave it to the car owner...heh..heh...heh.

The answer may be obvious, but all the M112's i've seen during my research seem to be a little too long for the Richwood manifold....

Is this not a real issue?
The entire lower mounting flange for the charger doesn't sit on the manifold.

Everyone is doing this so there has to be an obvious reason, i'm just not seeing it at the moment....

FYI - The link that MightyAl mentioned does not do the 1UZ S/C kits any more. I rang them a couple of months ago and they stated it was an old advert and they needed to remove it. But you never know your luck, maybe they have started up again.

Lextreme - How much does the inlet manifold of the S/C on your Cobra M112 overhang the back of the engine. I think I would have to rule this one out in a celsior, as the engine is very close to the firewall.

Cheers, Kevin

The Jaguar one does sit completly on the flange I think,

+ the only thing back there in the rear piece of the SVT-m112 flange is the By-pass valve, which can be accomodated in a different manner if needed.

but It wouldn't look very nice I think.

Well that stinks. It shows that the M112 will fit on the manifold. I keep hearing that richwood can make a plate for the m112 but I havent had a chance to send them an email to ask.

Gang,

The M112 is officially too big for Richwood manifold. However, if you dont use the manifold plate and shave 1.2" inches off the M112 and weld the M112 and the manifold together and everything will fit just fine. The reason you can not use the top plate for two reasons.

1. Reduce over height of the charger
2. Holes for mating the plate are somewhat interfer by the charger.

Therefore it is the best thing is to chop 1.2" off the bottom and trim off the M112 oem mounting holes. After triming on the side of the M112, you end up 8.0" wide from the M112. The Richwood Manifold is 8.5" wide. So welding is the only two with Richwood manifold unless Richwood have an oversize plate.

I am in the process of making an aluminum plate that will adapt the M112 elbow to the 1UZFE TB. This is a two plates kit. One for adaptation and one for clearance.

Here is the top plate I was talkinga bout.

I plan to drill some holes to fit a cold start injector along with two extra injectors right under Richwood manifold. I am not sure if there would be enough room for the clearance. We will see.
